Debbie Carr

Deborah J. Carr, P.G.

President

Ms. Carr has over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and partnering with the oil and gas industry. She holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology and is a licensed Professional Geoscientist. Prior to creating Carr Environmental Group, Inc., Ms. Carr was a exploitation/development geologist for several small to independent operators.

Theresia Smith

Theresia W. Smith, P.G.

Vice President

Ms. Smith has over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and partnering with the oil and gas industry. She holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology and is a licensed Professional Geoscientist.  Prior to partnering with Ms. Carr and creating Carr Environmental Group, Inc., Ms. Smith was an exploration geologist for various large to mid-size operators. Ms. Smith’s technical expertise lies in air permitting and compliance.

Ryan Mersmann

Ryan S. Mersmann, P.G., CPSS

Vice President of Operations

Mr. Mersmann has approximately 15 years of experience in environmental geosciences and consulting for the oil and gas industry. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Environmental Soil Science, and has completed Rice University Executive Education’s Business Leadership Development Program. Mr. Mersmann is a Licensed Professional Geoscientist and a Certified Professional Soil Scientist. His technical expertise includes:

  • Site characterization and impact assessment
  • Remediation of hydrocarbon and produced water impacts
  • Hydrogeological, biogeochemical, and geophysical studies
  • Environmental due diligence for asset acquisition and divestiture
Walter-Bliss

Walter Bliss

Director of Business Development

Mr. Bliss brings a diversified service company background to the company, with experience in U.S. and international operations. His early career was with Otis Engineering which included management assignments in Saudi Arabia, Scotland, and Singapore. He later lead significant company growth while President of Halliburton Reservoir Services and while VP/General Manager of Tuboscope Vetco Pipeline Services. He also served as VP Quality for Halliburton Energy Services. Mr. Bliss holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas.

Les Cole

Les Cole, P.G.

Service Line Manager

Mr. Cole has more than 25 years of experience in environmental compliance and consulting for the oil and gas industry, commercial/industrial facilities, and governmental agencies. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, the University of North Texas, a Licensed Professional Geoscientist, and a Texas LPST Project manager. His technical expertise includes:

Mr. Friesen has 20 years of experience in the environmental field designing and implementing remediation solutions for clients across the US. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in several states and has spent 13 years supporting the oil and gas industry through:

  • E&P field liability management and permitting
  • Remediation design and implementation
  • Environmental due diligence for asset acquisition and divestiture
  • Facility demolition and decommissioning

Priscilla V. Yelvington

Service Line Manager

Ms. Yelvington has 10 years of experience in environmental consulting primarily for the oil and gas industry. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. degree in Geology and her technical expertise lies in:

  • Site characterization and impact assessment
  • Remediation of hydrocarbon impacts to soil and groundwater
